Paul Davis is a 97-year-old World War II veteran. He has lived on Lummi Island since 1973, but has spent summer vacations at his family's waterfront cabin since the 1930s.

Davis was honored on Saturday, Nov. 4 by fellow island residents for his five decades of volunteer work.
